What data we collect

When you send a booking request: your name, email address, phone number, country (optional), the apartment selected, the dates of stay, the number of guests and any message you write.

We also store a cryptographic fingerprint of your IP address. The IP address cannot be reconstructed from it; it is used solely to prevent abuse of the form.

We do not use visitor tracking tools or advertising cookies.

Why we process it and on what basis

To handle your request and enter into an accommodation contract — the legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and performance of that contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To protect the form from abuse — the legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To register your stay with the authorities and issue invoices — the legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Who else can see the data

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. It is accessible only to our service providers, and only to the extent needed to operate the site: the website hosting provider, the database provider and the email delivery provider.

We are legally required to submit details of your stay to the Croatian eVisitor system.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some service providers may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep the data

Requests that do not result in a reservation are deleted no later than 12 months after they are received.

Data on completed reservations is kept for as long as tax and hospitality legislation requires, generally 11 years.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, and its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Send your request to info@ostaric-apartments.com. We reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr.

Cookies

The site uses only cookies strictly necessary for it to work: remembering the language you chose, and a short-lived cookie that shows your confirmation after you send a request. No consent is required for such cookies.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Google map

The Location page displays a map served by Google (Google Maps). Loading it makes your browser connect to Google’s servers, which may record your IP address and set their own cookies. We have no influence over that processing.
